of Trees. The company al-

so maintains an active presence in the community and is known for its collaborations with the Meals on Wheels People of Tualatin and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

 

The establishment of the Tualatin Dance Company in June 2014 marked a pivotal point in the history of the Tualatin Dance Center, the home studio of the Tualatin Dance Company. Located in Tualatin, Oregon, the Tualatin Dance Company ​has brightened the lives of a multicultural group of young and eager dancers ranging in age from 7 to 18. Based on individual technical ability and drive, the dancers are placed in either the Senior or Junior Company.

 

The dancers of the Tualatin Dance Company are dedicated to mastering diverse forms of dance. The dancers aspire to become skillful in all aspects of dance including performance, choreography, and staging. The members of this performing group have integrated into their communities as well, donating their talents and services to several local charities.

 

The principal components of our culture at the Tualatin Dance Company consist of maintaining quality performances, actively participating in the community, and encouraging equality and diversity. At the Tualatin Dance Company, we hold the tenet that creating new choreographic works is vital to the expansion of dance as a form of art and that expression is necessary to foster innovation, maturity, and creativity. One of the Tualatin Dance Company's most important guiding principles is the belief that any and every person with the desire to dance should be given the opportunity to learn and do so.

 

We at the Tualatin Dance Company aim to create, express, and perform in such a way that both portrays a story and evokes emotion in the audience. We aspire to push ourselves to move an audience by creating visual and physical musical masterpieces through our movements. We value dedication and determination; in practice, we utilize this mindset to test the boundaries of our potential, striving to push ourselves as dancers.
